DigiTwin – DIGITAL TWIN AS THE BASIS FOR SAFE INNOVATION

Implementing new energy strategies in real-world operations always involves risk. That is why the AORTA+ platform includes the DigiTwin module, which brings the concept of digital twins directly into energy management.
DigiTwin is a virtual copy of a real energy system – batteries, production sources, appliances, and the entire local network. This model faithfully mimics the behavior of physical devices, including their technical limitations, dynamics, and responses to changes in operation.
Thanks to DigiTwin, it is possible to safely test new control algorithms, optimization strategies, or configuration changes before deploying them in reality. The operator can verify the behavior of the system during peak consumption, production outages, extreme energy prices, or failure conditions – without any risk to real devices.
A significant advantage is that DigiTwin communicates with AORTA+ in the same way as real technologies. The control algorithm does not “know” whether it is working with simulated or physical equipment, which allows for a smooth transition from simulation to live operation. This approach significantly reduces the time required for development, testing, and deployment of innovations.
